Officer O'Neal: Shaq Sworn In As A Cop

Shaquille O’Neal has dabbled in law enforcement since before his retirement, and was always clear that he wanted to become an actual cop some day.  Now after serving as a reserve cop on Miami Beach, Diesel was sworn in as a police officer for the small town of Golden Beach.

With only a population of approximately 919 people, Officer O’Neal will mostly be working a speed-trap handing out tickets to drivers who don’t obey the speed limit.  Golden Beach’s Mayor was at Shaq’s ceremony to be officially sworn in, and Police Chief Donald DeLucca, who told the Miami Herald there is no set schedule for when the Big Aristotle will be on duty, “I’m not sure when exactly he’ll be on [but] I do know that he has been brought on as a part-time reserve officer with the Town though.”

Ironically enough, Shaq played the part of a cop in "Grown Ups 2," starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, and David Spade, which is in theaters now.  See the gallery above to check out pics of Officer O'Neal being sworn in.
