LIL WAYNE ROLLS OUT WHAT'S BEEN KEEPING HIM AWAY FROM THE STUDIO:

Young Money head Lil Wayne gushes over his love for skateboarding in an upcoming XXL Magazine feature and admits the high-flying sport has kept him away from his studio commitments.


Based on an excerpt from his feature, Weezy F. Baby has made skateparks throughout the nation.

"Yeah, because I can't stop skating, so I need one everywhere I go. When I was on the road, what I would do is go to skateparks after every show. It didn't matter who was there, and I don't know how to skate nowhere near how they know how to skate. But it doesn't matter. If they see me have fun, then they have fun because it's enjoyable. The reason for the skateparks is to have fun everywhere I go." (XXL Magazine)

Weezy also admits skating has taken up more of his time than record-making.

"Unfortunately it's the skatepark more. [Laughs] But I'm trying to get it back to the studio. [Carter V?] I think about it, but I have to be focused on something else right now. Overall I felt good about the [I Am Not A Human Being II] project because I approached it in a manner of--and this may sound silly--trying to be underground." You know what they say: "New year, new face tattoo." At least that's what Lil Wayne says. The rapper-turned-skateboarder decided to pay homage to skateboard company Baker the best way he knows how--by tattooing the word "baked" on his forehead. Weezy, who already has stars, a lightning bolt and teardrops (among other things) tattooed on his noggin, chose the area above his right eye for his new ink because... that's the only place he has left? "There is this skater crew called- I don't know why I'm giving them love, but it's called the 'FWC.' It's called the 'F--k Weezy Campaign' and it's a whole bunch of skaters that's just like, 'we don't like the fact that Wayne skates period.'
