DIDDY CLOWNS KENDRICK LAMAR OVER "KING OF NY" LINE

Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy is the latest hip-hop artist to weigh-in with a reaction to Kendrick Lamar declaring himself as the 'King of New York' on Big Sean's "Control" anthem.


Diddy hopped onto his Instagram page and posted a parody meme of him alongside Jay Z to address Lamar's line.

The backlash against Kendrick Lamar is in FULL SWING ... with Diddy putting the rapper on blast on Instagram ... and he's even dragging Jay-Z into the attack. Lamar has been under fire for the past 24 hours for the lyrics he spits out against other rappers on Big Sean's new track, "Control" ... in which KL refers to himself as the "King of New York." Naturally, Diddy took issue with the lyric ... considering, well, you know ... he thinks HE'S the king of New York. So Diddy fired back with an image on Instagram, showing himself and Jay-Z, another New York boss, laughing ... along with a caption that MOCKS Kendrick's lyrics. Diddy ain't the first to fire back at Kendrick -- 67-year-old NBA legend Phil Jackson dropped some knowledge Kendrick's way yesterday ... after KL shouted his name in the same song. (TMZ)

Coincidentally, Puff Daddy gave Lamar props for his good kid, m.A.A.d city album earlier this summer.

"I hope no one ever beefs or tries to attack him lyrically. You will definitely lose. His mind is crazy." Kendrick reminds him of someone else from Compton. "His career is real reminiscent of my early start, minus the bandana. Kendrick is neutral in this. That's our West Coast Nas and everyone should support that." Big Sean, 25, took to Twitter to release his latest single, "Control" to his over 4 million Twitter followers, which features 26-year-old rapper Kendrick Lamar. "I'm usually homeboys with the same n****s i'm rhymin wit/But this is hip hop and them n****s should know what time it is/And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler, Mac Miller/I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you n****s/Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n****s." He also has a verse that says: "I'm Machiavelli's offspring, I'm the king of New York/King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both." (Hollywood Life)
