Either NBA Commissioner Adam Silver was lying during the press conference or Donald Sterling is simply haughty. Ealier today, Fox Sports’ reporter Jim Gray revealed what Sterling informed him of prior to Adam Silver’s press conference.
While Silver stated that Sterling’s representatives were informed of the punishment before the press conference, Gray says that Sterling informed him that he had not yet been informed of the punishment. The phone conversation between Gray and Sterling occurred prior to the press conference and Sterling made his intentions with the Clippers very clear:
He said he really did not want to comment on the record, but the team is NOT for sale. And he will not be selling the team.
Silver handed down a Banned For Life sentence towards Sterling and stated the process to begin voting him out of ownership would commence immediately. Under the NBA bylaws, an NBA owner can only be voted out of ownership if 3/4 of the NBA owners vote in its favor.

When you’re worth over half a billion dollars and own the majority of one of the most profitable American businesses, you can splurge on things like NBA teams. Last night (April 29th), Dr. Dre informed TMZ that he is interested in purchasing the Los Angeles Clippers.
Last night, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver stated Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling was banned from the NBA and his team would be voted to be sold. Even though Sterling has stated he has no intention of selling the team, Dr. Dre told TMZ outside of Boa Steakhouse and claimed he was interested in buying the team.
In addition to his interest in buying the team, Dre stated he shared the same sentiments towards Donald Sterling that Snoop Dogg released in his inflammatory Instagram video. While Dre is interested in buying the Clippers, he states he is unsure if he will change the name.
Check out Dr. Dre speak on the Donald Sterling controversy and make his bid for the Los Angeles Clippers below:
Yesterday (April 29th), NBA Commissoner Adam Silver dropped the proverbial hammer on Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling, banning him for life. Accordingly, the social media world blew up and celebrities began putting their bids in for the Clippers, sending Donald Sterling on vacations and more.
Tyrese pointed out the irony of Sterling appearing on African Americans’ social media accounts:
Lil Wayne seems to be employing the most famous celebrities to do the advertising for his final album Tha Carter V. A few days after Kobe Bryant released promo art for Tha Carter V, Floyd Mayweather releases the first video footage of Tha Carter V recording sessions.
With the “Carter V Season” flashing near the end of the video, the clip shows Drake and Lil Wayne working on lyrics in the studio together. Floyd Mayweather released the video on his personal Instagram account.
During a sit-down with the homie Rob Markman over at MTV, DJ Khaled announces he has a new album coming this summer and that he finally got a JAY Z feature for the first single.
"And guess what? I just left Marcy Projects,” Khaled screamed, beating his chest. “What you think I’m playing with this sh–? Eight summers, I got Jay Z, Shawn Carter; I got Hova on my first single,” he said before slamming the mic to the ground. “Fuck this shit, I’mma show the game, boy.”
Khaled is always good for 2-4 songs every album IMO, so hopefully the Hov-feature is one of them.
After completely wilding out on MTV News earlier today to make a big deal movie out of his upcoming single featuring none other than JAY Z, DJ Khaled releases a viral clip of a recent trip to Mr. Carter's old stomping grounds Marcy Projects.
